What the client needed to solve

The operator ran legacy analog CCTV at older stations while newer lines used incompatible IP systems. Incident operators switched between four client applications, slowing response during peak hours.

Network links between stations and the central office lacked redundancy — a single fibre cut had previously blinded an entire corridor for six hours.

02 · Approach

How Hello Trading structured the program

Hello Trading led a discovery phase mapping every station's camera inventory, retention needs and operator workflows. We designed a federated VMS architecture with edge recorders, standardised analytics rules and a dual-path MPLS plus LTE backup WAN.

Migration ran corridor-by-corridor during night maintenance windows, with parallel recording to avoid evidence gaps.

Mean time to locate incident video dropped from 4.2 minutes to under 45 seconds. The corridor fibre cut drill proved seamless failover — operators retained live views within 90 seconds.

Monthly NOC reports now track camera health proactively; offline devices are restored before shift handover 94% of the time.
